Characteristics
  • We stock this quality of E-4130 to meet the regulations of API Spec.6A.
  • Bars are heat treated to Designation 75K and are Charpy V-notch impact- tested to Classification K.
  • Stocks also conform to NACE Standard MROI- 75 with a maximum hardness of HRC22/HB235. E-4130 is readily machineable and weldable.

  • Flanges, wellhead components, tool joints, etc.
Typical Heat Treatment
  • Forging
    • Commence 1200℃ max.
    • Finish 950℃
  • Annealing
    • 830℃/ 855℃ Cool slowly in furnace
  • Normalizing
    • 870℃/ 930℃ Cool in air
  • Hardened & Tempered: 840℃/ 870℃ Water quench, 855℃/ 885℃ Oil quench; 430℃/ 700℃ According to properties required.
