Characteristics
  • This steel is a modified Grade 4330 product with enhanced nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium additions. The combination of chemistry and controlled heat treatment conditions result in an optimized combination of strength and toughness. This product is bested selected for highly stressed and demanding fatigue applications. Grande 4330 + V was developed for enhanced room temperature as well as low temperature Charpy-V-Notch performance. This product is available only in heat treated condition.

  • Grade 4330+V is available in two strength combinations:
  • Yield Strength, Minimum – 150/160 KSI
  • Tensile Strength, Minimum – 160/170 KSI
  • % Elongation, Minimum – 14% in 2 inches
  • % Reduction of Area, Minimum – 50%
  • Hardness – 34/42 HRC
  • Longitudinal CHARPY V-NOTCH TEST 1 (ASTM E23): @ 70 F (21°C) – 45 ft/lbs. Min Average, 35 ft/lbs Min Single Value
  • Longitudinal CHARPY V-NOTCH TEST 2 (ASTM E23): @ -4 F (-20°C) – 31ft/lbs. Min Average, 24 ft/lbs Min Single Value
  • Longitudinal CHARPY V-NOTCH TEST 3 (ASTM E23): @ -50 F (-45.5°C) – 20 ft/lbs. Min Average, 15 ft/lbs Min Single Value
